Purity skincare

Hello!

Today's post is on purity skincare products. I was kindly sent samples from 'purity' to try out and review on my blog and was shocked when I opened the package as I had received six full size products to try!

"Purity Organic Skincare is a British brand, conceived and created to bring intelligent, sustainable and organic beauty to each and every one of us. Purity Organic Skincare is EcoCert certified, with 98% of the ingredients of natural origin and an average of 82% of the ingredients processed from organic farming."

The six products that I've received are facial wash, conditioning cleansing lotion make up remover, anti-ageing moisturiser, anti-ageing serum and mask, facial exfoliator and regenerating overnight moisturiser. I haven't tried all of the products as of yet so will keep you updated as I try them all. However, I have tried the overnight moisturiser and was impressed by how soft it made my skin, the only problem I had with it was the smell. I absolutely hated the smell and it almost put me off wearing it on my face, however it's made out of natural ingredients which is probably why it isn't scented.

Thanks for reading, like I have previously said, i'll continue to update you with the different purity products that I try and my thoughts on them.

Day out in Camden

So on Saturday my family and I decided to go to Camden in London for the day because even though I was born in London and lived there till I was seven we had never really been. My dad went to Camden market a couple of weeks ago and told us how brilliant it was so we decided to go for a family day out which is quite rare in my family as everyone has different schedules!

Sadly I only got to take one photo the whole day: this picture was taken from just outside the markets in Camden.

Let me start off by saying that Camden market is possibly the weirdest place I have EVER been in my life. It's absolutely huge but amazing. Most of the stalls are completely different from one another and there are loads of really cute vintage shops/stalls. There are so many good bargains but you definitely have to spend ages there! Outside the market there is a road full of shops also selling amazing things. I have literally never been so overwhelmed in my life, such a weird place!

I bought a new hoodie (comfy wear for winter) for £10, it's navy blue and says 'Oxford university' - I don't really know why I bought it but I loved it and it's so comfortable, definitely worth the money! I also bought a jumper for £10. The quality of the wool is amazing and it's so thick and comfortable (once again for winter). One thing I will say: some of the stalls sell the same product for different prices, the jumper was £20 but I found a stall selling it for £10 so I saved myself paying an extra £10! I also bought two t-shirts which were on offer for two for £10 just for lounging around. My favourite purchase is a gold Casio watch! If you read my holiday buys post then you will know that I bought a black Casio watch until I got a gold one. I bought a gold one for only £8 and I'm completely in love with it! The picture below is what I bought.

I had an amazing day out with my family and will definitely be visiting Camden again! If you live near the area and haven't been I would definitely recommend it as I'm pretty sure there is nothing else like it!

Holiday buys!

Hello everyone!

So as some of you might know, I went on holiday almost a month ago now, I've been home for two weeks so I'm sorry about only posting this now but I was being a lazy blogger! This post has lots of pictures so sorry in advance!

I bought quite a lot of things on holiday, none of them being branded things because I went to Menorca which is only a little Island so they didn't really have anything branded unfortunately but I picked up some lovely little things that I love!

I bought six magazines whilst I was there because I wanted to keep up with all the gossip! They had information about the Olympics in which I loved because unfortunately I went on holiday the day after the opening ceremony and came home the day after the closing ceremony meaning that I didn't get to see much of it at all. However, the bars I went to at night had the Olympics on so I did get to watch the diving (Tom Daley, YUM!), gymnastics, running and swimming and loved it! The magazines ranged from $1.90-$3.00.

The top left picture is of a car freshener plaque, it smells really nice and it says 'save your ugly face, buckle up!' which reminds me of something I would actually say to my friends as a joke haha ($4.99), also in that picture is a rosary bracelet which was too big for me so I'm putting that around my car mirror too! ($2.85). The top right picture is of two keyring's that I bought which I now have on my car keys, I thought they were cute hence why I bought them. The I love Menorca one was $1.75 and the peace one was $1.00. The bottom pictures are of a nail kit that I bought. I needed a new nail kit and loved the colour of this one and it was only $2.50!

I bought two purses when I was away. The top two pictures are of a purse I bought of a market, I loved it and it has so many compartments. The man wanted $12 for it but I got two for $20 as my best friend wanted one so we only had to pay $10 each. The bottom two pictures are of the second purse I bought. I love this purse and is my favourite holiday buy. It was $19.99 which I thought was reasonable considering it was from Mango and Mango was the only shop I saw over there that I recognised! The bag I got it in said Barcelona which is strange because I was in Menorca. I love both of these purses but definitely prefer the Mango one!

I bought two fans (top left and right) which are more for decoration because I never use them in England but I loved them both. The fan on the left was $3.95 and the one on the right was $1.95. The bottom two photos are of a pocket watch I bought of the market for £8.00. I think it's really cute, I probably won't use is but as a decoration piece it's lovely.

The top left picture is a novelty item. It's a wish elf phone charm and I thought it was really cute so decided to buy it :'). Top right is of a travel perfume sort of thing. Basically, it comes with a pump thing (I'm really good at explanations, can you tell) and you use the pump to suck up perfume out of a perfume bottle and then place it in the cute spray travel perfume pictured. I thought it was a really clever idea and it was only $2.25. The bottom left and right pictures are of two bracelets I bought, the one on the left was $3.00 and I also got it in black, I absolutely love the fact it is hand made and I've worn the black one everyday since I've bought it! The bracelet on the right was only $1.50, sadly I've only worn this once but I will definitely be wearing it more!

The top left picture shows a wish band, the idea of it is to tie it round your wrist twice, knot it three times, make three wishes and when it falls off (naturally) your wishes will come true. I thought it was so cute I bought three and so did my best friend! I am currently wearing a green one and wore it everyday on holiday whilst swimming and it still hasn't fallen off! The bracelet says 'gent de menorca' - I asked a local barman and he said it translates to 'menorca's people' which I thought was sweet ($1.50 each). The top right is of a dream catcher, I've never had a dream catcher so thought I might as well buy one for $3.25. The bottom left picture is of a photo album, what I loved the most about this is that it is completely made out of leaves and tree materials, amazing! ($6.25). On the right is a photo frame that I liked because it had Menorca on it and I wanted to put a picture of me and my best friend on holiday in it ($5.25).

Top left is a bracelet that I bought the first night of me being in Menorca because I wanted a bracelet that said 'Menorca', it was around $2.95 and I've worn it everyday since I bought it! The top right picture is the black version of the bracelet that I mentioned earlier in this post ($3.00). Bottom left is another bracelet (I bought loads) which was around $1.50. The bottom right picture is of a bag I bought at the market. I love this bag because I think it looks like a holiday bag, it was $10 of two for $18 so my best friend got one but a leopard print style meaning it was only $9.00 each!

Both of the top photo's are of a Casio watch I bought of the market of all places! I really want a gold Casio but until I get that this will do. I love it! It was only $12.00 and has time, date, day, alarm, stopwatch and light. The bottom left photo is of a pocket version of connect 4. Me and my best friend were bored one night so bought it for $1.99 and we actually had great laughs playing it when we were hanging around the apartment at random points throughout the holiday. The bottom right photo is the two books I bought when I was away. The book on the left I bought for only $2.00 from spar in Menorca (there was so many spars for some reason!) and I only bought because I had forgotten mine that evening and we were in a karaoke bar (BORING) so me and my best friend bought a book each but we didn't actually read them because we just went somewhere else instead haha! On the right is the second book in the fifty shades of grey trilogy, I bought this because I was reading it on my iPhone so thought I might as well purchase it since I had left over euros. However, It did cost $11 which is so expensive! but as I had money left I decided to buy it :)

Thanks for reading!

I'm so sorry that this post is like the longer post EVER!

I'm going to university!

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, since I've been home from holiday I just haven't been in a blogging mood for some reason but don't worry, I am back!

As many of you know, A level results were collected last Thursday and as I have opted to go to university it meant that I was relying heavily on mine. Thankfully I got accepted into university even though my results weren't all that good!

I got an A and a B in health and social care and was really pleased with them but I got a D in geography (I thought I was getting an E!) so overall they weren't too bad but I got into university so I don't really care about my grades anyway.

The picture above is of the email that I received saying that I had got my place on the university course that I applied for. I am studying applied criminology and forensic investigation and although this will be a great challenge I am extremely excited to be doing this course.

My registration is on the 22nd of September so less than a month now and I am extremely nervous but excited as well. Luckily for me, two of my best friends are going to the same university as me and one of them is actually doing the same course as me so at least I will know someone!

Thanks for reading and congratulations to everyone who got their A level/GCSE results and to everyone who go into university!

DIY: hair bow!

This is just a quick post to show you this really cute hair bow that I created out of my hair! It's so easy to do and can be messy for the day like mine is in the picture or really neat which would look nice for a night out!

For some reason in the picture my hair looks many different colours, I'm not too sure why (especially the white bit at the front...)

The tutorial for this hair bow is here, let me know if you have a go and how it turns out!

Have you tried this?

Have a great day :)

Home Sweet Home!

Hello everyone!

The title is a bit misleading as I'm not happy to be home at all! For those of you who have been reading my blog you will know that I went on holiday to Menorca for two weeks and came back three days ago (haven't blogged since then as I've been too tired and lazy). I had an AMAZING time and thought I would show you guys some of my favourite photo's from the holiday. I went with my family, family friends and my best friend and literally had the best time of my life.

The photo's from left to right working down:

1. Local view
2. Me and my best friend bought these wish bands which we are showing in the picture and when they fall off the wishes you made are supposed to come true
3. Me and my best friend were sat on the balcony one night and the chair completely broke, luckily I was holding onto the railing at the time or I would have seriously hurt myself!
4. Local view of the water
5. The view when we were walking to the local town
6. Fishes that I saw in the sea!
7. We saw a show called 'dancing horses' which was amazing. This picture is of one of the horses on its back legs
8. The view from a beach we went to on a day trip
9. Me when I was underwater snorkelling (it was amazing!)
10. A cute little lizard that was randomly on a wall
11. Fishes underwater (I took this using a underwater camera case over my camera!)
12. Me and my sister snorkelling (I'm on the right)
13. The view of the local harbour
14. Me and my best friend snorkelling after we went cliff diving (love the fact the water makes us look so pale!)

For two weeks I basically went snorkelling everyday which was amazing and saw loads of different fish and jelly fish which were extremely beautiful, we went on a boat trip and two different day trips where we went to many different places. I also shopped a lot and will be doing a post about everything I bought, nothing too exciting though I'm afraid!

I would DEFINITELY recommend going to Menorca and is honestly the most beautiful place I have ever been too!
