DIY: hair bow!

This is just a quick post to show you this really cute hair bow that I created out of my hair! It's so easy to do and can be messy for the day like mine is in the picture or really neat which would look nice for a night out!

For some reason in the picture my hair looks many different colours, I'm not too sure why (especially the white bit at the front...)

The tutorial for this hair bow is here, let me know if you have a go and how it turns out!

Have you tried this?

Have a great day :)

Home Sweet Home!

Hello everyone!

The title is a bit misleading as I'm not happy to be home at all! For those of you who have been reading my blog you will know that I went on holiday to Menorca for two weeks and came back three days ago (haven't blogged since then as I've been too tired and lazy). I had an AMAZING time and thought I would show you guys some of my favourite photo's from the holiday. I went with my family, family friends and my best friend and literally had the best time of my life.

The photo's from left to right working down:

1. Local view
2. Me and my best friend bought these wish bands which we are showing in the picture and when they fall off the wishes you made are supposed to come true
3. Me and my best friend were sat on the balcony one night and the chair completely broke, luckily I was holding onto the railing at the time or I would have seriously hurt myself!
4. Local view of the water
5. The view when we were walking to the local town
6. Fishes that I saw in the sea!
7. We saw a show called 'dancing horses' which was amazing. This picture is of one of the horses on its back legs
8. The view from a beach we went to on a day trip
9. Me when I was underwater snorkelling (it was amazing!)
10. A cute little lizard that was randomly on a wall
11. Fishes underwater (I took this using a underwater camera case over my camera!)
12. Me and my sister snorkelling (I'm on the right)
13. The view of the local harbour
14. Me and my best friend snorkelling after we went cliff diving (love the fact the water makes us look so pale!)

For two weeks I basically went snorkelling everyday which was amazing and saw loads of different fish and jelly fish which were extremely beautiful, we went on a boat trip and two different day trips where we went to many different places. I also shopped a lot and will be doing a post about everything I bought, nothing too exciting though I'm afraid!

I would DEFINITELY recommend going to Menorca and is honestly the most beautiful place I have ever been too!

Thanks for reading

Holiday reads!

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on holiday so won't be able to reply to any comments until I am home (13th August).

Just a quick post today! Thought I'd share the books that I am currently reading/ taking on holiday with you.

The Black Echo by Michael Connelly: I absolutely love crime programmes like CSI and personally I think the way this author writes reminds me of CSI stories. I love this author and absolutely love crime books so this will definitely keep me entertained!

L.A Candy by Lauren Conrad: I've never watched the hills but loved the cover of this book (sad, I know) so decided to buy it as it actually reads quite well. I read many different genres and this sounds like a book I will actually like so I'm exciting to start reading it.

Black Widow by Jessie Keane: Jessie Keane is an author much like Martina Cole (never read a Martina Cole book but this is what the book states) and I had never read a book like this before. This is the second one out of a trilogy and I absolutely loved the first one which I read in two days (very quick for me). I couldn't recommend the first book in the series enough and have started the second (amazing) so cannot wait to finish it!

What is your favourite book?

Have a great day! :)

Essie Collection: starting out

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on holiday so won't be able to reply to any comments until I am home (13th August).

If you have read a previous NOTD post that I wrote which featured essie: bikini so teeny you would know that I was ordering more nail varnishes. I ordered another three mini nail varnishes and all of them were from ebay.

I love all of the colours and they will be great on holiday as they are all quite summery colours. The colours I got from left to right are: bikini so teeny, braziliant (it's actually an orange colour but looks red in the photos), super bossa nova and smooth sailing.

What essie nail varnish is your favourite?

Have a great day! :)

Favourite nail polish brand: Nails Inc.

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on holiday so won't be able to reply to any comments until I am home (13th August).

I always have my nails painted and because of this I have many different brands of nail polishes. I thought I would show you all my favourite brand which is 'nails inc' and show you some of the colours that I own.

The two pictures above show some of the nail polishes that I own by nails inc. and I have swatched them all underneath so you are able to see what they look like on (not all the shades look very accurate due to the lighting).

I absolutely love nails inc nail polishes as they are extremely easy to paint on, dry very quickly and last for ages! I can some times leave my nails painted one colour for around 10 days when using nails inc. with only minor chips occurring in this time!

The only downside of nails inc. nail polishes is the price, they are around £11. To me this is rather expensive but luckily I haven't bought any! My auntie buys them and sends them to me all the time so I get them for free (yay!)

Overall I would definitely recommend them!

Have you tried nails inc.? What is your favourite nail polish brand?

Have a great day! :)

Tangle Teezer dupe for £1.50?

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on holiday so won't be able to reply to any comments until I am home (13th August).

I don't know whether you have heard of the new tangle teezer dupe or not but is only £1.50 from primark, bargain right?

I haven't ever tried a tangle teezer so I cannot actually compare the dupe to the actual brush but I can make comparisons visually. As you can see by the pictures above, the shape is pretty similar as is the size. I love the size of the brush as it fits in the palm of the hand and is small enough to put in a handbag.

As for the brush itself, I think it is very good at getting out tangles, especially when my hair is wet and therefore it will be a great thing for me to use whilst on holiday!

You can buy the tangle teezer's from boots for around £10.99 (here) and the dupe from primark for £1.50.

Have you tried the dupe?

Have a great day! :)

NOTD: Essie 'bikini so teeny'

This is a scheduled post as I am currently on holiday so won't be able to reply to any comments until I am home (13th August).

Today's NOTD post is using the first every essie nail polish I've bought, 'bikini so teeny'. I have never previously used an essie nail polish before so don't have anything to compare it to but I absolutely LOVE the colour!

This nail polish cost me £7.50 off Ebay (sorry I cannot find the link) and for me that is a lot to spend but as I loved the colour I decided to purchase it. I found this nail polish is extremely easy to apply but found it was quite thin so it took me three coats to make it look opaque. After applying the nail polish I applied a top coat but found that it started to chip after 1-2 days. This is quite a shame as essie is raved about in the blogger world but I have ordered more essie nail polishes so I shall see what I think of essie as a brand overall.

Have you tried 'bikini so teeny?'

Have a great day! :)
